FAA Production Studio Crew Receives "Star-Quality Award"

On May 10th, in conjunction with the Annual CFI Program, the FAA Production Studio Crew was honored by the Orlando Flight Standards District Office with a prestigious award. The “Star-Quality Award” was presented to each crew member for their commitment to Quality, Service and Productivity.

 

Each year the FSDO recognizes and makes nominations for special achievements and outstanding performance in several categories. This past year Mr. Ben Coleman felt that Obie Young and the Production Crew were deserving of such an award.

 

Ben’s recommendation of the crew was “second to none” as he captured the spirit of each and every volunteer and their dedication to the studio in his nomination.


Special thanks to Mr. Joseph Hunt, Orlando FSDO Manager, Ms. Mary Myers and Ms. Kathy Mawer for taking time from their busy schedules to make this celebration special for the crew. Mr. Hunt, Mary, Kathy , and Ben presented each award and had a special cake made to honor the crew on this occasion.

 

The crew won this award on a Local level which entitled a submission on the Regional level. We are very proud to announce that the Crew also won on the Regional level.

 

Their contributions and unselfish donation of their time and talents dedicated to the safety program have fostered the growth and success of the FAA Production Studios and the Safety Program.
